Infants Food Allergic
Parenting is always not easy especially for first time daddy/mummy. Although babies pose some similarity in general, every baby poses different characters when comes to their preferences such as cleanliness, food, sleeping habits etc. Taking cares of babies hence need extra passion to understand their temper, nature and preferences. The same is true when come to introducing solid foods, especially if the baby is having food allergic.
For babies about 4-6 months old, parents can start introduce some light solid foods to their baby. However, this needs not be rushed as rushing may leads to food allergic if not handled properly. Since babies only take milk for the first three months, their intestinal tract is not fully developed. if they are exposed to too much solid foods, their intestinal tract cannot digest and handled it which in turn, caused food allergic.
- Breastfeed
- As breast milk is free from contaminations and chemical, this is the best nutritional source for baby. Although there are baby allergic to breast milk, but the incidence is very low.
- Breast feeding mother should avoid peanuts, or any other trees’ nuts, fish, eggs in their own diet.
- Hypoallergenic infant formulation
- This formulation is specifically developed for babies who are allergic to milk. Mother can seek advice from their doctors on the suitable milk powder to prescribe
- Introduce solid food slowly
- Keep the same food for about 4-5 days. Observed whether symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting or rash developed. If yes, baby maybe allergic to this food and should be avoided.
- Do no add seasoning
- Sugar, salt or other additive should be avoided to solid food as baby taste-bud is very sensitive to these additives. It is tastier for adult but too much for babies.
- Baby's digestive system is not fully developed. Introducing additives may caused more works to their internal organ.
- Avoid caffeine, carbonated drinks, peanuts or peanuts butter
- Consult your doctor
- As doctor are professional and knowledgeable, they are able to give the most appropriate solution for food allergic in babies

Apple Detoxification Diet
An apple a day, keeps the doctors away. Does this slogan sound very familiar? Have you ever think apples can do more than keep you away from doctor?

The first experience is quite pleasant except for the dizziness. So I decided to continue on the following weekend. This time, I do not have symptoms of dizziness and tiredness as the previous time. I can even go shopping and watched movie on that day! And so….I continued this remedy for few weeks.

Lactose Intolerance
Milk has always been associated with healthy life as it contains high calcium, vitamins and essential minerals. Unfortunately, most adults can't digest a significant amount of lactose; a kind of sugar found in milk. Hence, this condition is called lactose intolerance.
Lactose intolerance is different from cow's milk intolerance although both conditions shared similar symptoms such as diarrhea, gas and cramp. Cow's milk intolerance is an allergic reaction triggered by immune system. Lactase is an enzyme produced in the cells lining the small intestine. It helps to break down (digest) lactose into glucose and galactose which is then absorbed into the bloodstream.
There are three types of lactose intolerance:
This is the most comment intolerance developed over time. As we grow, we consumed less milk then infant. Our body in turn produces less lactose. Some believed this starts as early as when we were two years old but most people do not noticed it until an old age.
This is induced by the environment such as injury to the small intestine, exposure to intestinal parasites and others which disturb the cells producing lactase.
This is a genetically inherited condition present at birth and can be diagnosed in early infancy.
Since it is an "acceptable" condition for most people, it takes minimal efforts to avoid or reduce its occurrences and symptoms.
Lactose intolerance is a very common condition affecting 70% of the population. However, it is not a life threatening condition. With proper diet, we can obtain the same nutrition and yet not compromising on our quality of life with discomforts result from lactose intolerance.
